West Midlands News Update

We’ve just had a very successful stream of events including record numbers to two trips – attending our trip to interwar Malvern followed by, the following week, our July trip was to Birmingham where we had a fascinating tour of Austin Village followed by a visit to a beautiful Art Deco privately owned house.

In August we hope to arrange an assessment of public art in Coventry by members of the committee followed by events for heritage week, in Birmingham the Wake Green Road prefabs will be open on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th September – details on our social media feeds but no booking required.

On Saturday 8th Sept Geraldine Hammersley will lead a public walk in Coventry of 3 pieces of public art and there will be an opportunity to visit George Wagstaffe’s (of the Naiad fame) studio and private garden. Tickets will be available on Eventbrite. Details will be on our social media feeds.

In October Joe Holyoake will lead a trip to University of Birmingham on 20th October. Details of the trip will be available on our social media feeds but you will need to email c20westmidlands@gmail.com to book your place.
