This large mural – 1.5m x 8.5m – depicts the buildings and natural environment of central Somerset. It was commissioned in 1979 by C & J Clark, the shoe manufacturers, whose headquarters are in Street, Somerset, for a new shopping development, the Crispin Centre,

Planning consent to redevelop the shopping centre site for retirement living with the mural to be retained in-situ was obtained on appeal in 2025.
