Greenside  primary school, listed grade II*, is one of just two schools designed by Ernő Goldfinger who commissioned Gordon Cullen to paint a mural depicting themes such as invention, history, the sea, geography, the solar system and nature in its entrance foyer. After languishing behind a curtain for twenty years the mural was restored in 2014 following a campaign by the ‘Friends of the Greenside Mural.’
