Additional notes
The church was, in fact, a circular chapel to St Cuthbert’s Mental Hospital which was on the site from 1948. Demolished in 2009 but with dalle de verre abstract glass by Alfred Fisher (of Powell’s) re-used in the swimming pool and recreation area of the replacement hotel on the site at Hurworth-on-Tees, Darlington.
