Founded originally by the Malvern College Mission 1984 who built the little iron church of St Alban and the English Martyrs. The settlement area expanded between 1918 and 1957 and was re-named Dockland Settlement No. 1. The new chapel to replace St Alban was constructed, St George and St Helena completed and dedicated in 1930. Between 1958 and 2003 known as the Mayflower Family Centre and currently the River Church and Christian Centre.
You can look for churches using the search boxes or on the pins on the map. Each entry gives the architect and location, and the icons on the left show listing status. Where available, we have included links to more detailed online information about the building, such as the English Heritage listing description. We hope you will find some of your own favourites here and discover some new buildings too.
