Giuseppe Rinvolucri, who lived in Conwy, was involved in the commissioning from Italian sculptor Fernandino Palla of Pietrasanta and placement of 14 Carrera marble Stations of the Cross in Conwy’s town walls (one is on the church wall) and a Calvary scene which are listed grade II (ref 87416 in National Historic Assets of Wales), Professor Josef Beule, a PoW and Assistant Professor at the Düsseldorf Academy decorated the Baptistery with murals and the pulpit with symbols of Evangelists when he was a Prisoner of War in Wales in and after WWII; church closed in 2018 under Diocese of Wrexham restructuring plans but in 2020 this was revoked by the Congregation for the Clergy, Rome.
