Dorothy Annan murals listed

We have just heard the great news that our application to list the fabulous set of ceramic murals by Dorothy Annan on Farringdon Street has been successful.   We featured these earlier this month on the cover of our new format magazine, and there’s a wonderful selection of archive photos in the article inside.  They are “an eloquent artistic expression of post-war communications technology and were thoughtfully designed and skilfully executed to create a dynamic and striking work of post-war art that merits listing at Grade II. ” according to the report— and listing was backed by the artist Frank Auerbach and Penelope Curtis, the Director of Tate Britain.   So congratulations to our volunteer Lara Schroder for all her hard work, and thanks to Chris Marsden at TACS (Tiles and Architectual Ceramic Society) for his support.    Now we need to ensure they survive, which may mean finding a good new location for them, and the building they are attached to is excluded from the listing.   Anyone got any suggestions?
