I just came across this new blog by Dr Ian Waites: “Instances of a changed society: the post war council estate in time”. Interesting take on architectural and social aspects of post-WWII social housing – I look forward to seeing more. Particularly interesting are also the links to other similar blogs: “Love London Council Housing” (‘London’ being quite loosely ‘defined’!) and “Conserving the Twentieth Century”, by a fascinating group of young researchers, in which we are particularly proud to see extensive discussion of some of the Society’s recent events: “Post-War Paddington” and “Harrow & Wealdstone”.
