Great to see the All Aboard For Stockwell project celebrated with an exhibition in the Royal Festival Hall Foyer, Southbank Centre. (This is a community arts project led by local group Our Hut and funded by the Heritage Lottery–we have had a small part in it). The exhibition runs until 24th February 2013 in the RFH foyer, and has lots of photos of the tours I led, great drawings by kids and adults, and excerpts of oral history interviews about differnt aspects of the bus garage. Sadly I missed the drop-in family workshop yesterday (run as part of the Imagine Children’s Festival), but it’s great to see such a fabulous building and a great project getting so much publicity.
Our Hut have done a fine job.
(love the bus-driver’s view picture—it’s from TfL’s archive)
