Elain Harwood has set off on her mammoth cycle ride in the early morning light of a part of Venice that few people see. Over the next four days she will cycle over the Appenines and through Chianti country to Rome – countryside that is as tough to cycle through as it is beautiful – to raise funds for the C20 journal.
Those who have been following #WheresElain on Twitter will have seen some of the fabulous – and in some cases deeply obscure – buildings that she has visited while she has been limbering up over the past week. Italy has some fine C20 churches which deserve to be better known.
A big thank you to all who have already sponsored Elain – she and the C20 Society are very grateful for your support. And if you haven’t yet had the chance, you can still sponsor Elain online to help reach her fundraising target.
Become a C20 member today and help save our modern design heritage.
