The C20 Southern Group will be hosting their Virtual AGM via Zoom at 4.30 pm on Saturday, 27 March 2021. If you are a member of the Southern regional group, you will have received the joining link via email. If you live in the Southern region and would like to join the group, please email Caroline Martin at: c20southerngroup@gmail.com.
There won’t be a lot of formal business to discuss as having started 2020 with a well attended AGM and talk by the distinguished architect, Kate Macintosh, we were then forced to cancel our exciting and ambitious plans for the remainder of the year.
We also need to elect/re-elect officers at the AGM. Current officers are me as Chair, Basil Fowler as Treasurer and Clare Dales as Secretary. All three are willing to stand for re-election but if any members are interested in standing, please let Caroline Martin know.
We are also creating a fourth committee post, a Social Media secretary who can manage and develop our presence on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This is a great opportunity to promote the Society and our Regional Group and reach a whole new audience. Please let Caroline know if you are interested in this role.
We very much hope that before long we will be able to resume our events programme – we have lots of plans on the books.
We are delighted to announce that linked to the AGM, one of our long-standing members and current Secretary, Clare Dales, has kindly offered to give an informal talk that will take us on a journey through Ponds, Pools & Lidos and the social history of bathing.
There will be time to ask questions and share experiences. Clare is a Heritage Consultant and Author and her new book on Ponds Pools & Lidos will be available in Summer 2021.
