The C20 Southern region are delighted to welcome Kathryn Ferry to speak in the iconic De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex on Saturday 4th August. Kathryn is an authority on C20 architecture and design. You may know her from numerous TV and radio appearances, or her fabulous publications on Bungalows, Butlins, Seaside Holidays and Beach Huts. She also contributed an essay on ‘Labour-Saving Homes: the impact of domestic technology to the C20 Society book 100 Houses, 100 Years.
The event starts in the De La Warr Pavilion cafe at 10.30am. At 11am there will be a tour of the building for a maximum of 15 people: book your place here (booking essential, £5 donation on the day). There will then be time for lunch in the Rooftop Foyer, to see the exhibitions or stroll along the prom before Kathryn’s talk on Interwar Architecture by the Sea at 2pm: book your place here (£11.07).
