Additional notes
Formerly the house of artist Geoffrey Birkbeck who built a small apsidal chapel there in 1949, his widow giving the house to the Diocese of Northampton in 1960 where later an extension was built to the chapel by Whitwood in 1972 and it became the residence of the Bishop with creation of the East Anglia Diocese in 1976 and with further additions by Kenney in 1997.
