Annual weekender: Plymouth – a celebration of a twentieth-century city

A weekend in and around Plymouth, in recognition of the recent designation of post-war central Plymouth as a Conservation Area.

On the Saturday we will have an introductory talk by Simon Hickman, Principal Inspector of Historic Buildings and Areas, Historic England South West.  This will be in the Plymouth Athenaeum after which Simon will lead a walking tour looking at central Plymouth in relation to the newly defined Conservation Area.

On Sunday we will board a classic coach for a tour of the environs around Plymouth, guided by Hilary Kolinsky of Plymouth Architectural Trust.
