Event: May visit to Hove – **UPDATED**

There are now only a few places left on the C20 Southern group visit to Hove, on Saturday 21 May.

Our walking tour of central Hove will focus largely on residential developments from the 1930s onwards, with some internal viewing of apartment blocks.

The tour also includes viewing externally various public/religious/commercial buildings. Unfortunately Hove Town Hall is still shrouded in scaffolding but there will be a quick peek as we pass.

A couple of notable stopping points:

• Harewood Court, Royal Masonic Benefit Institution – Communal Lounge and gardens;
• Park Gate, the Eric Lyons/Span block, will provide access to their courtyard and a short talk;
• Furze Croft, a 1930s block, will provide internal viewing and short talk;
• 4 Grand Avenue (1930s) – entrance hall.

Timings will be approximately 10.15am to 3.30/4pm, starting at Hove station.

As usual, this is an informal tour with no detailed notes handed out. A small charge of £5 will be collected on the day.
