Event: September visit to Eastbourne

Following our visits to Southampton, Chichester and Basingstoke, the C20 Southern group will be exploring a variety of C20 buildings in Eastbourne on Saturday 12 September.

Details are being finalised, but here are some of the buildings we’ll be including in our tour:

• The Grade II*-listed and recently renovated Congress Theatre (Bryan & Norman Westwood & Partners, 1963)
• The Bandstand, built 1935, with an impressive faience roof and new terracotta pillars by Shaws of Darwen
• The Park Close Conservation Area – 1920s Arts & Crafts homes by Richard Goulburn Lovell
• The Grade II-listed Tally Ho public house, 1927, by JL Denman for Kemp Town Breweries (one of their Wayside Inns for motorists)
