Extended to the rear (south) in c1905; N (Old Christchurch Road) and NE elevations largely rebuilt in 1920s, attributed to Reynolds and Tomlins. Various alterations, internal remodelling and refurbishment during the C20 and C21.

Small fire in June 2021. May not be subject to application for alteration because of collapse of owners. Up for sale and advertised as a prime town centre redevelopment/investment opportunity (update April 2021)
