Sassoon House was designed by Maxwell Fry and Elizabeth Denby as low-cost but efficient housing. It formed part of the ‘Peckham Experiment’ which was centred on the adjacent Pioneer Health Centre and aimed at fostering a heathy life based on urban community. Feibusch’s mural – a rider and horse in red, black and white vitrolite – is located on the side of Sassoon House’s staircase tower.
