C20 is excited to announce a new partnership with Rapha, the premium cycle wear brand.

As part of the Societies’ commitment to reaching new audiences for the education and celebration of twentieth century architecture, we’ve programmed a new series of ‘design rides’ for Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) members.

Over the next 12 months, these free pedal-powered tours will explore the modern architectural heritage of London and beyond, with exclusive visits to some remarkable buildings. As well as thematic routes around the capital, there are destination rides planned to St Catherine’s College Cambridge, De La Warr Pavilion, the Judge Institute in Cambridge and more.

Rapha Cycling Club – a global riding community.

The collaboration is launching at this weeks London Design Festival with a sold out panel talk at Rapha’s Soho Clubhouse. Panelists including Elain Harwood (Historic England), Mike Taylor (lead architect for Hopkins on the 2012 Olympic Velodrome), and Merlin Fulcher (tour director and podcast host for Open City), will discuss the many overlaps between architecture and cycling culture, while recounting some of their own favourite pedal powered pilgrimages.
