Update from contributor Robert Taylor: ‘Many years ago I worked at Bold colliery which closed around 1984. I revisited the pit as although the vast majority of the site was demolished the pinhead baths, some offices, the canteen, union office, pay hall, managers and surveyors offices and the old medical centre still stand. On my visit I spoke to someone who worked in the complex and he said that although the lower section of the baths had been gutted to allow office space be developed the upper floor part is still intact.’
