Contributor Mining Landscapes: “The bath house with 36 showers and 18 cubicles, was erected in 1955 at a cost of around £78,000. When the mine closed the building was converted to a training centre accommodating 40 apprentices. Today the building forms part of a small gated industrial estate.”
