A day of short presentations at Birmingham City University regarding 20th-century+ buildings and design from members, holidayers, academics alike. This is also a call by Katriona Byrne for proposals for slots.

Led by Professor Bill Sherman, this event examines two Charles Holden buildings, the chronological and geographical bookends for the University of London’s Bloomsbury campus: Senate House (1932-37) and the Warburg Institute (1957-58).

Curator Tour of ‘Artists Against Fascism’ Exhibition at Tate Britain

Tate Britain guest curator Andy Friend will lead a tour of the ‘Artists Against Fascism’ exhibition for C20 Society members. The exhibition explores the history of the British ‘Artists' International Association’ in the 1930s.

From Westminster to Waterloo Bridge: A Winter Walk along the South Bank

Walk - 22/02/2025

Stefan Cucos will lead a walk along the South Bank from Westminster to Waterloo Bridge taking in the historical progression of C20 buildings from the Royal Festival Hall to the National Theatre, plus remnants of the Festival of Britain.

Chicago 2025 Tour

Tour - 18/05/2025

A week in Chicago led by Brent Smith to see magnificent buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van de Rohe and many others, including influential pre 1914 buildings. Two coach tours to visit the SC Johnson HQ and Farnsworth House.

Berlin and Bauhaus Tour 2025

Alan Powers will lead a four-day visit to Berlin with a day in Dessau, visiting Bauhaus-related sites, including the recently restored Trade Union School at Bernau by the second Bauhaus director, Hannes Meyer.
