The Twentieth Century Society is looking for a part-time operations manager to ensure the smooth running of the Society’s office and the service it offer to members.
This person will be at the heart of ensuring the Society operates effectively, so we can provide the best possible service to our members and have the office, finance and IT systems to support the delivery of excellent casework.
The role will be responsible for a variety of ongoing tasks including book-keeping, membership and events support, as well as helping the Director and Trustees in setting the strategy for the Society. You will be responsible for managing our team of dedicated volunteers to support you in this, as well as taking forward projects to develop our systems and processes. The right candidate will be someone who enjoys using their initiative and problem-solving skills, is used to a high degree of independent working and can think and act strategically while ensuring that day-to-day business is operating smoothly and cost-effectively. You will need to be able to get up to speed quickly with the book-keeping and membership and events database systems and need to operate them yourself, but with support from volunteers. Some experience of contract letting and management would be useful. Salary £20,000 for 21 hours per week, based in our friendly offices in Farringdon, London.
