Art Deco in Britain by Elain Harwood

Alongside the publication of Elain Harwood’s much-awaited book Art Deco Britain, Elain has repeated her keynote talk on the subject via Zoom. Covering many aspects of the book – the arrival of the glamorous style into the Britain in the late 1920s and its use in cinema, hotel, theatre and factory design – Elain delivered a rich summary of the style, its enduring fascination to new generations, and the role of the C20 Society in helping to secure the future of many Art Deco buildings.
