A morning tour exploring some of the buildings from the period when Manchester’s cotton trade was a world leader to final decline. Despite this it was a time when some of the city’s most remarkable buildings were constructed, representative of the considerable wealth that still existed. Scale and lavish materials were distinguishing features, combined with innovative construction methods often reflecting something of Art Deco and the Jazz Age in detailing.
