The building was listed grade II by English Heritage in June 2007. In its former cafeteria is a 65 foot long by 10 foot high ceramic mural by Carter’s of Poole packed with bold images of food and crockery. It appears to be the earliest extant post-war Carter’s mural. Current plans for reconstruction of the building include retention and conservation of the mural, which would become a backdrop to a new bar or restaurant.
